How long since the last post! In the meantime I moved to Netherlands, I started working, but I couldn’t stop cooking and knitting. In my new place I don’t have a proper oven, so now that I’m in Italy for the Christmas holidays I’m baking mostly everyday. So I’ve think that it was the case to publish something.
This is the recipe of one of the most traditional Neapolitan Christmas desserts, the babà. Reading on the web I discovered that this dessert has Polish origins: according to the legend it was “invented” by the King Stanislao Leszczinski, who had the brilliant idea to immerse it in the rum.
I realized the cake version, because I don’t had the typical little moulds, and I decorated it with whipped cream and candied fruits, of course.
Enjoy the Sunday guys! I’ll enjoy my trip to Naples…
